Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Your 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech starts early with a pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fes. We drive through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its beautiful alpine-style houses and snowy winter weather.

Next, we stop at the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the friendly Barbary monkeys — you can feed them and take pictures. Then we continue to Midelt, famous for apple farms, where you’ll enjoy lunch.

After lunch, we travel through the Ziz Valley, with its amazing palm trees and traditional Berber villages, before reaching the Merzouga Sahara Desert in the afternoon.

Here, your camel ride adventure begins! Ride through the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy the magical sunset over the desert, and take unforgettable photos. At night, you’ll reach your luxury desert camp, enjoy a delicious Berber dinner, listen to traditional music around the campfire, and sleep under the starry desert sky.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia Village – Merzouga Lake – Palm Grove

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most beautiful sights in Morocco. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga where your driver will be waiting.

Today, you’ll explore the Merzouga region — full of unique desert life and culture. Visit the old eyeliner mines, meet nomad families living in desert tents, and enjoy Berber tea with them.

Then, visit Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music and dance, performed by locals with roots from Mali and Sudan. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the palm grove and see the Merzouga Lake, often home to flamingos.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave the desert and head to Rissani, an old Saharan trading town famous for its traditional souk (market) — especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Next, we visit Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, where ancient marine fossils are turned into decorative pieces. Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the stunning Todra Gorges — tall red cliffs popular with rock climbers.

Take time to walk through the gorges, relax by the Todra River, and enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue to the Dades Valley, stopping at the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and a scenic viewpoint over the valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we continue our journey through the Rose Valley in Kalaa Mgouna, famous for its annual Rose Festival in May — where locals sell rose water, oils, and perfumes.

Then we drive through Skoura’s palm groves and visit Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Desert and home to famous film studios where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were shot.

Next, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks and filming sites for Game of Thrones.

Finally, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views and photo stops along the way before arriving in Marrakech. Drop-off at your hotel or airport — marking the end of your 4-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech.
