Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Todgha Gorges
We will start our 4 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert by picking you up from your hotel or riad in Fes. Our journey begins toward the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” we’ll stop to see the famous lion statue carved by a German prisoner during World War II.
Next, we’ll visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the friendly Barbary Macaques. You’ll have time to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. Afterward, we continue through Midelt, known for its apple orchards, where we will stop for lunch. Later, we’ll drive through the Ziz Valley before reaching the beautiful Todgha Gorges, a breathtaking canyon surrounded by high cliffs. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel near the Gorges.
Day 2: Todgha Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast, we continue our Fes to Merzouga 4-day tour toward the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you will discover the old Berber irrigation wells that once provided water to the palm groves. We’ll then visit Erfoud, known for its fossils and dates festival. You can explore a fossil workshop and enjoy some local dates.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Excursion – Khamlia – Nomad Families – Camel Trekking
Today is a full day to explore the Merzouga Desert. After breakfast, we’ll start with a 4×4 desert tour, visiting Khamlia village to enjoy traditional Gnawa music performed by locals of African origin. Then, we’ll meet nomadic families who live in tents and learn about their simple desert lifestyle.
We’ll also visit the Mifis Mines, a historic site once used for salt and kohl extraction. Later in the afternoon, your camel guide will take you across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach your Berber desert camp. You’ll enjoy dinner, Berber drumming, and a magical night under the starry Sahara sky.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most memorable moments of the trip. After breakfast at the camp, ride camels or take a 4×4 back to Merzouga. Then, we’ll begin our return journey to Fes.
We’ll stop by Erfoud again to visit a fossil museum, and continue through the Ziz Valley for a panoramic photo stop.
