DAY 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga

On the first day, we will pick you up from your hotel in Fes and start our journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward Imouzar for breakfast. Next, we stop in Ifrane to see the famous Atlas Lion statue, built by a German prisoner during the French protectorate. We continue to the Cedar Forest, where you can see the Barbary Macaques, one of the rare animals in the Atlas Mountains. 

Then we drive through Ait Ouflla Pass to reach Midelt, known for its apple orchards. After lunch, we cross Tlghomt Pass, stop at the panoramic view of Errachidia Dam, and visit Ziz Valley, the largest date-producing area in the region. Passing through Erfoud, famous for its fossil exports and annual date festival, we continue to Merzouga. Here, enjoy a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the sunset, and arrive at a luxury Berber desert camp for dinner and traditional music. Climb the dunes to admire the starry sky and the Milky Way.

DAY 2: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt – Fes

On the second day, wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. Take the camels back to Merzouga and start the journey back to Fes. Along the way, we can stop at the Erfoud souk to try local dates and visit the fossil museum. Then, we drive back through the Middle Atlas Mountains and return to Fes, concluding your 2 days Fes to Merzouga desert tour.
