Tour itinerary from Tangier
Day 1 Tangier
We pick you up from Tangier, a beautiful city in northern Morocco. Then we drive to Asilah, a small coastal town with colorful streets and historic buildings. You will enjoy walking around and taking photos. Overnight in a hotel in Asilah.
Day 2 Asilah – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we go to Tetouan, famous for its white houses and nice weather. Then we continue to Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl of Morocco. Walk through its blue streets, see the beautiful houses, and take amazing pictures. Stay overnight in Chefchaouen.
Day 3 Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Drive through small Rif villages to reach Volubilis, the Roman ruins with old mosaics. Then visit Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a holy city. After that, explore Meknes with Bab Mansour, the old Medina, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Continue to Fes and stay at a riad.
Day 4 Fes Guided Tour
Visit Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Explore the old Medina, Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Quaraouiyine University (the oldest university in the world), and the tanneries. Walk through the small streets, see the souks, and enjoy the city’s history. Return to your riad for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Sahara Desert
Leave Fes and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as Morocco’s Switzerland, and visit Azrou Cedar Forest with friendly monkeys. Continue through small Berber villages and the Ziz Valley. Arrive at the Sahara Desert to see the big sand dunes. Watch the sunset and spend the night in a desert hotel or camp.
Day 6 Merzouga Desert Tour
Wake up early to explore Merzouga in a 4×4 car. Meet the local nomads and enjoy mint tea. In the evening, ride camels to see the sunset in the desert. Stay overnight in a Berber camp with traditional food and music under the stars.
Day 7 Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Watch the sunrise on the dunes and take photos. After breakfast, drive to Rissani, then Erfoud and Tinghir to see Todra Gorges with its tall cliffs and clean water. Continue to Dades Valley and stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 8 Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
