Tour itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley/Gorges
On the first day of your 4-day Marrakech desert tour, our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We will drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for photos and to enjoy the views. Next, we visit the famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and have lunch either there or in Ouarzazate. In the evening, we reach Dades Gorges, where you will stay overnight in a comfortable hotel or riad.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert Night)
After breakfast, we head toward the Sahara Desert. On the way, we stop at Todra Gorges and explore the palm valley of Toudgha, perfect for photos. We will continue driving through Berber villages like Tinghir and Tinjdad. Before reaching Merzouga, we visit Erfoud, known for its annual date festival. In the late afternoon, we ride camels into the golden dunes of Merzouga and arrive at our desert camp. Enjoy Berber music by the campfire, a traditional Moroccan dinner, and sleep under the starry Sahara sky.
Day 3: Camel Trekking – Khamlia Village – Rissani – Ouarzazate
Start the day with an optional sunrise camel trek in the desert and return to the camp for breakfast and a shower. Then we drive to Khamlia Village to meet the Gnaoua people and enjoy their music. Next, we visit the traditional market of Rissani and stop for lunch in Nkoub. We continue through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and arrive in Ouarzazate for the night.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Atlas Studios – Kasbah Telouet – Marrakech
After breakfast, we explore Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate, famous for international films. Next, we drive through Kasbah Telouet and the High Atlas Mountains on the way back to Marrakech. We will make scenic stops for photos before reaching your accommodation in Marrakech, marking the end of your 4-day Marrakech desert tour.
