Tour itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga
We will pick you up from your hotel in Fes to start your amazing 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. On the way, we will pass through Imouzar for breakfast, then continue to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” There, we’ll stop to see the famous Atlas Lion Statue, carved by a German prisoner during French colonization.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll start a full day to discover the Merzouga Sahara Desert. First, we’ll visit Khamlia village, where you can enjoy traditional Gnawa music played by locals. Then, we’ll visit the Mifis mines, where locals once worked to extract salt and mascara.
Later, we’ll stop to meet nomadic families living in tents in the desert. You’ll learn about their simple way of life and traditions. Then, we’ll visit Hassi Labied oasis and nearby farms before heading back to Merzouga.
In the afternoon, your camel guide will take you for a ride over the golden sand dunes to reach your luxury desert camp. You’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset, dinner under the stars, and Berber music by the campfire. Overnight in the camp.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorges – Dades Gorges
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before riding camels back to Merzouga. After breakfast, we’ll drive to Rissani, an old trading city and the first capital of the Alaouite dynasty. We’ll explore its local market and old irrigation wells.
Next, we’ll visit the stunning Todgha Gorges, where the cliffs rise up to 300 meters and a small river flows between them. Perfect spot for photos and a short walk.
Then, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its Monkey Toes rock formations and the Tissdrine curves. You’ll enjoy dinner and stay overnight in a charming hotel overlooking the valley.
Day 4: Dades – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
On the last day of your 4-day tour, we’ll travel through beautiful valleys and historic sites. First, we’ll stop in Kalaat M’gouna, known for its Rose Festival and rose products. Then, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” where we’ll visit the famous Atlas Film Studios and see where movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed.
Next, we’ll explore Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah and one of the most iconic fortresses in Morocco. After visiting the site, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m), with stops for photos and to visit an argan oil cooperative.
